The day a driver decided his wheel had to adapt to him… not the other way around
It always starts the same way.
People ask why we build custom racing steering wheels.
And the answer is simple: the idea wasn’t ours.
It came from a driver.
And then from a few more after him —each with their own story, their own quirks, and their own very specific “must-haves”.
They all agreed on one thing:
what they wanted simply didn’t exist.
The first one was a circuit guy who used his kart to train during the week.
And he kept repeating the same complaint:
— “Ino, what I’m looking for doesn’t exist. Kart wheels are too basic. Nothing like the one I run in my hillclimb car. Great for building forearms and destroying your hands… but for driving, real driving? Not even close.”
What he didn’t know yet was that his real problem was also the budget:
the wheel he dreamed of cost almost as much as half his kart… and some cost more than the whole kart.
No sane person jumps into that hole.
(Well… except the ones we work with.)
He wanted:
— the exact same diameter as his race car,
— removable grips that wouldn’t melt with sweat, and, let’s be honest,
— a wheel he could show off a little.
And then more cases started landing on our table:
— that amateur driver building his own hillclimb car (you’ll see him soon… he’s a character),
— a group of future F1 engineers asking for something “idiot-proof”,
— and BRC, who wanted a GSXR motorcycle display mounted inside a hillclimb steering wheel.
Different projects, Different needs. Same sentence behind all of them:
“Premium wheels are expensive as hell and don’t really let you customise anything.”
So we did it ourselves.
We built custom racing steering wheels that adapt to the driver —not the other way around.
What we build today
— diameters Ø300, Ø320, Ø340
— removable, washable grips (our own 3D-printed design, optimised for open or closed cockpits)
— compatibility with MyChron5, Alfano, Unipro, Solo2, MXS… whatever you run
— custom button layouts + quick-release wiring harnesses made in a special employment centre in Asturias
— aesthetics hand-painted by real artists (airbrush, no cheap stickers)
and
— lead times from 48h (stock karting wheels) to 2–3 weeks for the wildest customs
We are not romantic craftsmen: We’re engineers who build by hand because it’s the fastest, cleanest way to give the driver exactly what he wants —without sacrificing quality or sending the price into orbit.
Benefits
Value for money: Hand-built, unique steering wheels starting at €399, in a market where “premium” usually starts at €2,500 with far less personalisation.
Real-world guarantees
— drivers training with our wheels every week (and sending track photos after every race),
— teams coming back for more,
— and OEM programmes where we use the very same architecture
(TRAKTORK by Guilera is just one example).
If you want what everyone else uses, plenty of options out there.
But if you want something that adapts to you… you know where to knock.
Knock knock, knocking on heaven’s dooooorrr…
